Major Belt Advancement

Huge congratulations are in order for Sensei Mark Abdo for a major accomplishment in Martial Arts. He advanced to 3rd Degree Black Belt in KajuKido … a huge milestone.

Sensei Mark has been studying KajuKido since its inception. He is the 3rd student to earn his Black Belt in that system. He is the first to have earned his 2nd and 3rd degrees. KajuKido is very sophisticated in that it incorporates principles from a very aggressive Martial Art system from Kajukenbo as well as a much more subtle system found in Aikido.

A 3rd Degree Black Belt is significant in that it represents a certain skill level in performing techniques, but equally important, it signifies having learned how to teach those techniques and principles. That is an entirely different level of learning and performance. Sensei Mark has excelled in both.

I can not adequately express my appreciation for Sensei Mark and his contribution to our dojo. We would not have been able to accomplish what we have, or lay the groundwork for where I believe we are going, without his help. For that I am eternally grateful.
