Instructor Evolution

There are two levels on which the Instructors at Tenchi One Martial Arts evolve. One is simply the advancement of their particular skill level in their performance of techniques. The other has to do with learning how to teach.

Teaching is an Art. An Instructor has to develop an ever evolving, deepening sense of  the Principles that are involved in the execution of any and all techniques we teach. Equally important though, is their learning how to really know the students they are instructing. That includes appreciating how each student processes information, how they are in relationship to their bodies, how they understand movement.

I, we, are fortunate to have two Instructors who are both skilled Martial Artists, but more importantly to me, are really incredible people. I, and our community, could not be more blessed to have Sensei Keith and Sensei Mark. I thank them for their contributions and want to make it clear to our community that we would not be where we are, have what we have, without them. Thank both of you.
