Hannah – Kajukenbo Belt Advancement
Congratulations to Hannah on her advancement to Blue Belt in Kajukenbo. Her Demo was very impressive. She has come a long, long way in all three Arts of Kajukenbo, KajuKido, and Ichikan Aikido. She is one of our most devoted students.
Advancement to Blue Belt means that Hannah has completed the intermediate ranks, Purple and Blue, and will begin studying the advanced rank material, which include Green and Brown Belts. Black Belt is all that remains after that. That is a ways off, but it is very exciting to see her mature in Martial Art understanding and performance.
Hanna had some very loyal supporters attend the Demo in support of her. To the far right are Mark and Joanie, Mark being one of the primary Instructors at the Dojo and Joanie having just received her Black Belt in Ichikan Aikido last week.
The two guys in the middle are previous students who had to drop out of the Dojo due to injury and illness. After seeing the Demo, remembering how great it is to be part of the Dojo community, they both said that they want to jump back in. I commend them both for that and we are deeply committed to taking care of them.
Our Dojo would just not be the same without Hannah. Her dedication is inspiring. Her laughter is infectious. Her belief in the sanctity of the community, her willingness to play with anyone in the Dojo at any level, are prime examples of the atmosphere that we have created at TOMA.
Congratulations … and thank you …
