Belt Advancements

First of all … apologies for being delinquent in attending to this website.

I am so thrilled to be a part of our dojo community. Everyone is evolving … Instructors (especially me) … as well as students. I have heard from numerous students that the dojo is their “happy place,” the place where they are empowered, or just an awesome community that is always there for them. I don’t think it could get any better.

We have had many advancements in the past few months as well as having some pretty significant advancements coming up in the next few months. That is very exciting and rewarding.

As examples: Hannah advanced in two of our Martial Arts in October … Purple Belt w/ Brown Stripe in KajuKido and Orange Belt w/ Purple Stripe in Kajukenbo. These are both mid level advancements which means that she is getting deep into the heart of the systems. Jamie advanced to Purple Belt w/ Blue Stripe in Ichikan Aikido. And Mike (McDougal) achieved his Yellow Belt in Kajukenbo and a Purple Belt in Ichikan Aikido.

The significant advancements coming up also include Joanie advancing to Brown Belt w/ Black Stripe in Ichikan Aikido and SMike (Sempai Mike Dempsey) obtaining his Black Belt in KajuKido. Very rare air for both of those.

On top of all of that … one of our Instructors … Mark … is about to advance to 3rd Degree Black Belt in KajuKido … even rarer air.

We have also had two students join us who are about to Demo for their first Belt in Ichikan Aikido … as well as two new students who just recently joined us on this Path. It is all very exciting!
